The Cleveland Way

The Cleveland Way is one of twelve designated National Trails. Starting at the historic market town of Helmsley the 110 mile walk skirts the upland ridge on the edge of the North York Moors National Park before reaching the coast to end at Filey. It is often described as two walks in one: The first of beautiful heather moorland and the second of outstanding coastland.

Golf Clubs

North Cliff Golf Club is situated 2 miles north of Scarborough, North Yorkshire, on the coastal road to Whitby. Although mainly a parkland course, it does have a cliff top start and finish. Stunning views of both the North Bay and Castle make this James Braid designed course both a delight and a challenge to play at any time of the year.

The Course remains true to the ideals of its architect Alistair 'Augusta' Mackenzie, there's little rough and few trees and though the greens are generous they are cunningly shaped to provide a challenge. At a shade over 6400 yards, Par 72, with four short holes, South Cliff is huge fun, not least on a summers day when the views are breathtaking and the holiday ambience unforgettable.
